Healing YOUR Way No Matter What "THEY" Say

A Talk by Ella Hutchinson LPC-S, CSAT, CCPS, CCSAS Licensed Professional Counselor, Comfort Christian Counseling, PLLC Visit site

In my interview with Christine Leahy, I discuss how my story has informed my work with betrayed partners. I talk about the need for wives of sex addicts to be supported through validation of their experiences by professionals and spouses. Wives need to be given permission to grieve in whatever way they need to, for as long as they need to. They need to be encouraged to advocate for themselves through boundaries, receiving the right kind of therapeutic disclosure with polygraph, not permitting themselves to be pushed to heal or “get over it” too quickly, and through being taught how to be involved in their spouse’s recovery, because his success affects her as much as it does him!
